An International Christmas: Recipes from Around the World 🌎

Hello Reader,

I love how every country has its own signature way of saying, β€œIt’s Christmas!” πŸŽ„πŸͺ🍫

The season tastes like so many things: sweet braided breads, citrusy cakes, spiced cookies, warm drinks, and everything in between.

So I’m sharing a handful of traditional recipes with plenty of holiday spirit. Who knows, you might find a new favorite!

What I make

Several glazed panettone in paper wrappers. Raspberry linzer cookies flat lay.
Glass of spiced citrus mulled wine. Glazed gingerbread loaf on a wooden board.

My favorite baking project: Italian panettone.

A classic cookie that always makes an appearance.

I make mulled wine but serve it cold! It's summer here πŸ˜‰

My favorite gingerbread, hands-down!

The easiest fudge. I add toasted pistachios, almonds and sea salt ❀️

Easy sweet almond snack.

Drinks + Breads

Glass of eggnog with cinnamon stick. Glazed monkey bread on a white plate.

A sipping tradition for parties and open houses.

This sweet and gooey bread perfect for Christmas morning.

It's not Christmas morning without hot chocolate!

The perfect spiced drink for the holidays.

One of the best Scandinavian breads I ever made.

Another Italian bread I make when not in the mood for panettone.

Sweet

Berry topped chocolate torte. Raspberry linzer squares on a wooden board.

A chocolate cake that takes the spotlight.

I'm always game for these spiced squares.

Homemade marshmallows are a game changer!

Cut-out cookies to decorate with the kids.

My grandmother made this loaf every year, a recipe from her Irish mother.

The cutest ginger cookies.

Let me know if you make any recipes from the blog. I'd love to hear about your experience! You can leave a comment and star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review in the post or reply to this email. Happy baking!

Hello Reader, A huge thank you to my readers who make this newsletter and my blog possible! ❀️ Hope you had a fantastic Thursday with loved ones and good food, of course. What we all need today: what to do with leftovers, not only dishes like turkey and cranberry sauce, but also ingredients we bought too much of and didn't use! I'm always left with a considerable amount of nuts, apples, and pumpkin puree, and they're all put to good use. Turkey, ham, chicken and bread Most (or all) of these...
